Himangshu_Thakuria Equal parts skronky, feral and sinister sounding; these folks really know how to channel their influences into their music while still being original. Has that classic "disso-punk" aura of die kreuzen, wretched (ita),early voivod, stickdog and also bears slight similarities to contemporary practitioners such as reveal! (swe)

william_pritchett Big fan of contemporary punk that tries to combine unique elements into something new yet kind of an obscurely familiar sound! Favorite track: Melissa.

about

----------------------------------------------------

5 track EP 'Digital Hell' from IMPEDE! Hailing from the iron ore capital of South Australia, Whyalla, IMPEDE are a contemporary deep dive into a long list of classics. Influenced in part by Japanese groups like GAUZE and THE COMES, there's an Italian influence by way of INDIGESTI, NEGAZIONE as well as a nod to 80s USA groups such as UNITED MUTATION and MECHT MENSCH. Top it all off with a contemporary black metal influence along the lines of RASPBERRY BULBS and BONE AWL..... holy shit this is a mixed bag of sounds. Very very good. Love that tiny towns like Whyalla can produce music like this. Punk belongs everywhere. Limited to 100 copies. Highly Recommended.
